Planning a wedding can be stressful and time-consuming task. Before you know it, the day is upon you. Owner/manager/driver Janine Smith from Perth Limo Hire company Allure Limousines’ should know. She managed to plan her wedding in four months! Below are her Top 5 Wedding Day Tips for making the wedding day as stress free as possible.

Top 5 Wedding Day Tips #1 – Get enough sleep

Make sure the night before your wedding you go to bed at a reasonable hour. Try your best to get a solid 8 hours sleep if you can. Your day will be full on, so it’s important that you wake up feeling refreshed. I would also advise not having your hen’s night or buck’s night the night before your wedding. As it could result in you feeling less than your best on the day of your wedding.

Top 5 Wedding Day Tips #2 – Have a decent breakfast

Your day is going to be very busy and very long, so ensure you have a filling breakfast to get your day started right. If you are getting ready over lunchtime, a light lunch is also a good idea. Especially if you are sipping on champagne or having a few beers while getting ready. Drinking on an empty stomach before the ceremony and reception is not a good idea.

Top 5 Wedding Day Tips #3 – Drink lots of water

Being hydrated is great for your skin and overall health, but on your wedding day, it’s also vitally important. Chances are the nerves will get to you and you’ll get a dry mouth so a few sips of water as you’re getting ready and heading to the ceremony and reception locations is a good idea. You will spend a large portion of your day talking to people and smiling for photos, so having iced water in your limo will help keep a dry mouth at bay.

Top 5 Wedding Day Tips #4 – Don’t sweat it when something goes wrong

Inevitably, something will go wrong on the wedding day, and hopefully its only something minor. Chances are, given the months and sometimes years of wedding planning you’ve done, you will be the only one who notices it. Most of your guests won’t notice if something isn’t quite as you’d planned and even if they do notice, they won’t mind. They are there to see you and your fiancé get married. If at the end of the day, you are married, that’s what matters, don’t sweat the small stuff. The rest is just window dressing.

Top 5 Wedding Day Tips #5 –  Don’t drink too much alcohol too early

This links back into points two and three. Whilst you want to have a glass of champagne while you’re getting ready or going in the limo to your ceremony, you don’t want to have too much too early. You want to get through you vows without making any errors, you need to look good for your photos and you need stamina for a long day! Plus, some photo locations such as the stunning UWA Sunken Garden don’t have access to bathrooms.

Hopefully these tips will help start you off on the right foot and make your wedding day an easy, stress free and memorable day.
