Pink Concert Perth
It has been four years since she last graced our shores, but Pink is back this year for her Beautiful Trauma World Tour. The Australian leg of her tour begins with Pink Concert Perth at the Perth Arena on July 3, 4, 5 & 6. Pink’s latest arena show will also tour Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, with 14 shows in total. She will then travel across to New Zealand, where she will play three stadium shows. These will be her first shows in New Zealand since 2007.
Born Alecia Beth Moore in 1979, she started performing in clubs around Philadelphia at the age of 14. Her stage name, Pink, was adopted around this time. Pink was originally a founding member of girl group Choice in 1995. She pursued a solo career in 2000, with the release of her debut album, Can’t Take Me Home which went double platinum.
The Grammy Award winning artist is hugely popular in Australia, with album sales of more than 3.6 million. Four of her most recent albums have topped the ARIA charts and she has also produced four No. 1 DVD’s.
What About Us, the first single from the Beautiful Trauma album, became her ninth No.1 Single in Australia.
Pink was last in Australia in 2013 on her Truth About Love Tour, which still holds the record for the biggest selling tour by a female artist in Australia. That tour opened with four dates at Perth Arena, and continued with 42 more sold out shows across the country.
Last week she announced 40 shows in North America, starting in March and running until early June.
